Exciting news for Skoda fans – the upcoming all-electric Skoda Epiq has been spotted out in the wild for the very first time during early testing!
Caught on camera during road trials, the prototype gives us a first glimpse at what will become Skoda’s smallest electric SUV, positioned below the Enyaq in the range. While the vehicle is still heavily camouflaged, it’s clear that Skoda is sticking closely to the bold styling shown in the Epiq concept unveiled earlier this year.
The test vehicle features the same compact, upright stance and boxy silhouette, suggesting it’ll retain the Epiq concept’s city-friendly proportions and practical shape. Despite the disguise, the overall design lines and front-end profile hint at a close resemblance to the Vision E design language, with clean surfaces and a strong, modern look.
Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB Entry platform (shared with the upcoming VW ID.2), the Epiq will be front-wheel drive and is expected to offer a driving range of around 248 miles. Skoda has also confirmed that the Epiq will aim to be an affordable EV option, starting at around €25,000, making it one of the most accessible electric SUVs on the market.
Production is due to begin in 2025, with the Epiq set to play a key role in Skoda’s expanding electric lineup. It's part of the brand’s wider push to launch six new EVs by 2026.
This sighting marks a major milestone in the Epiq’s journey from concept to reality — and we’re looking forward to seeing more details emerge as testing continues.
